THRL Tipster Proofing Section

You may have noticed our new tipster proofing service that has been in operation now for a few weeks. Already we have 15 tipsters sending us their bets in advance so we can verify the results they claim are correct! This has been implemented at the request of a number of you who have written to me asking for advice on tipster services. The section is updated regularly and you can track the best tipsters yourselves before parting with your hard earned cash!

Featured website of the month - Bet 4 Success

After 4 years of operating a private racing advisory service for private members, Bet 4 Success opened up the service via the Internet 12 months ago and launched a new site in June last year.

The Service has been kept to a small number for the last 4 years and their information sources are mainly from the Cheltenham area with 8 or 9 others around the country. They have shown a profit each year over the past five years and now proof selections to the Racing Information Database (an independent organisation) as well as us. Their selections are chosen by using computer generated ability ratings coupled with information from their network of contacts.

Members are each charged around £75 per month. Discounted rates are available for longer periods and the first month costs just £30. Their subscription members receive an average of 1-4 bets per day by text or email. They also have a backup voicemail on certain days of the week when they are unavailable to send emails/texts. Ideally prospective members will:

1. Have access to the internet or a mobile phone.
2. Will keep a separate betting bank as their "working capital"
3. Are looking to make very decent profits over the long term

They have made members £5174 Actual Profit (that is minus stakes and deductions of costs) to just £20 level stakes - or £10,348 to £40 stakes.

Prospective members can join immediately online If they have a credit card, and a Paypal account (use bet4success@hotmail.com) and have access to their very next bet. They have not yet got online credit card facilities but hope to do so in the near future.

Although they are here for the long term they don't want their membership to go too high as they prefer to keep the membership manageable and exclusive.

Best Bet Books - Recommended Bookstore

Best Bet Books is a specialist racing, sports and betting bookstore. Originally set-up by Aesculus Press, to sell their own range of betting related titles, their website now also carries a selection of high-quality books from many other publishers.

A good and easy to navigate site where each book carried is described in detail with customer reviews and chapter extracts. As well as horse racing they also carry a range of titles on football, one-to-one betting, sports betting & spread betting.

New Site Additions

Each month we intend to include a round up of selected sites that we feel will be of interest. Each site is listed in our link directory and we have personally visited and reviewed each one.

Mr Tips - Well run site and service who offer free horse racing tips via email for free. Trying to fight back against the many dodgy tipster services who charge extortionate membership fees for poor information. Plans afoot to offer both Football and sports betting tips in the near future. Well worth a look.

Textbets - They subscribe to every tipster service available good and bad and use their in-house software to filter out the best tips for long-term profitability which they then text to your mobile phone every day. Each message costs £1.50 although the first one is free.

Grand National Sweepstake - Create your own grand national sweepstake with this excellent free to join service. Detailed information on each section of the course, the declared horses and their jockeys as well as a up-to-date news section. If only all sites were as well thought out and put together as this one!
